Transformation of the Day: Ashley lost 70 pounds. She wanted to show her children what it looks like to be disciplined and teach them the value of sacrifice. She shares how she took action through healthy eating habits and exercise.
What was your motivation?
My motivation was to finally not give up on myself-the ME inside that I knew was rooting for me. Also, I wanted my children to witness me accomplish something that took a lot of discipline and show them that sacrifices can be valuable.
How did you change your eating habits?
I cut out all added sugar, bad carbs, fast food, and dairy. I stopped drinking my calories and practiced intermittent fasting.
When did you start your journey?
I started in May 2020, and it took about a year and a half to reach my goal weight of 150 pounds.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
What was your workout routine?
I walked Monday thru Friday for 30 minutes, then gradually moved to 1 hour.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
I started at 210 pounds, and now I weigh 140 pounds.

What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
I learned that you have to be patient but firm with yourself. Don’t give passes to bad excuses.
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?
Do the mental work along with the physical. That work will weigh most of the load!
